Geocache Description:

Small park located off the square in downtown Crockett

This little park is picturesque and filled with history. It is at this site that Davy Crockett purportedly set up camp on his way to the Alamo. The spring from which he drank is now memorialized with a water fountain (I'm not sure I would drink from it!). Here also stands the Strode-Pritchett log cabin build around the 1850s. I wasn't really able to dig up much interesting information about the cabin, but it's neat looking! Come check out this scenic park and take a few pictures.

Also if you really want a great steak, try Tchoupitoulas Hotel and Steakhouse just up the hill towards the square. I highly recommend the cream of jalapeño soup!

Cache is a cammo'd pill bottle with room for small trade items; BYOP! Don't read the hint unless you absolutely have to. Rainbow moonstone teardrop for the FTF. Hope you enjoy!

Congrats to jlwalker59 for the FTF!!
