Geocache Description:

Welcome to Malbon's Twin. With the right equipment and a little homework, an energetic family could have some fun and see some interesting wildlife right in the heart of town.

This suburban cache is designed to be a bit of a challenge. Although thousands of people pass within feet of this cache everyday, none of them can see it. Please don't stop where your GPS first takes you. Look 25 feet or so below the obvious location. You'll have to figure out how to get down there.

You can't get to the spot on foot, you may have to row & you'll only find it when the water is low- but watch out for the mud!

You are looking for a green ammo box. It's secured by a cord. Pull the rope and the cache will follow. The box is bigger than the older style, more traditional ammo cases and required 25 pounds of weight to keep it submerged. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE keep this in mind when you are hoisting it out of the water - I'd hate to see it cause you to capsize. Since the new ammo case can open on both ends, 1 clasp has been secured with wire. Please do not remove the wire, simply open the other clasp. Opening the wrong end may cause 25 pounds of lead to fall on you or out of your vessel! Over time, barnicles and other aquatic growth will encrust the container. Barnicles can be sharp and could cut your hands. I'd recommend that you equip yourself accordingly.

Contents include a camera, batteries, some moist towelettes in case you get a little muddy and some treasures we have found in other caches. Please do not take the diving weights - for obvious reasons!

There is a canoe access ramp at Carolanne Community Park.
