Geocache Description:

A multi-cache at an important memorial site.

The co-ordinates on this page are not the co-ordinates of the cache but those of the Magna Carta memorial at Runnymede. The cache is hidden on National Trust land near the memorial.

You need to find some information about the Magna Carta to locate the cache:

The year in which the original Magna Carta was signed is ABCD.
The year in which the memorial was unveiled is EFGH.

The cache is located at:

N51 B(D+1).(H-A)(C-E)(A+B)
W000 (G-B)(F-D).(D-G)F(C-A)

Parking is available at the National Trust Tea Rooms, at Runnymede Pleasure Grounds, in Coopers Hill Lane and, in the summer if it is not too wet, along the river. All except Coopers Hill Lane are chargeable.

There is easy access by boat from the Runnymede National Trust moorings.

Thanks to the National Trust for their permission to place the cache on their property and for their willing co-operation in finding a suitable location.

Great views? Yes.
Interesting location? Yes, this is an important part of our history. Also nearby is the Kennedy Memorial, and the Air Forces Memorial is on top of the hill.
One of a series? No.
Cache trail? Not really, but can be done as a fairly substantial diversion from the Thames Path.
Unusual hide? No.
Cache and Dash? No.
Size? Small. It's a multi because I was refused permission to place a cache within the memorial enclosure.
