Esta descrição poética caracteriza o perfeito trabalho da natureza
na construção deste troço do Guadiana que deste local poderão
observar. Aqui, muito mais que um vale esculpido pelas águas,
poderão observar uma paisagem completamente distinta das bem
conhecidas planícies do Baixo Alentejo, onde colinas, montes e
escarpas cobertas de vegetação rasteira dominam o alcance da nossa
visão.
Aqui, é claramente visível, mesmo para os menos conhecedores do
assunto, um perfeito registo que o rio outrora possuía um caudal
bastante mais elevado deixando para os dias de hoje um vale
superior para nos fazer sonhar.
Junto ao rio podem ser observadas as
marmitas do gigante que
nada mais são que cavidades circulares esculpidas na rocha pelos
seixos em movimento de turbilhão, constituindo um dos aspectos
geológicos observáveis no vale do Guadiana.
Ao visitar esta região tragam o espírito aberto à observação da
natureza em todo o seu esplendor onde o respeito pelo habitat,
fauna e flora devem estar presentes acima de todos os aspectos. Não
destruam, deixem apenas as vossas pegadas e apenas levem boas
recordações e muitas fotografias.
Por favor deixem todos os itens da camuflagem tal como estavam e
não coloquem fotografias nem comentários que a possa
estragar.

This poetic description features the perfect work of nature in the
construction of this section of the Guadiana that you can observe
in this place. Here, much more than a valley carved by water,
you’ll be able to see
a completely different landscape of the well-known plains of the
Lower Alentejo, where hills and cliffs covered with short
vegetation dominate the scope of our vision.
Here, it is clearly visible, even for the least knowledgeable of
the subject, a perfect record that the river once had a much higher
flow leaving for the day a upper valley for us to dream
with.
Along the river you can observe the
pots of the giant that
are nothing more than circular cavities that are carved in the rock
by moving pebbles of swirling, constituting one of the geological
aspects observable in the Guadiana valley.
When visiting this region, bring your spirit open for the
observation of nature in its entire splendor where respect for the
habitat, flora and fauna must be present over all aspects. Do not
destroy, leave only your footprints and take only good memories and
many photographs.
