Okay, let's admit it. There is something special about being the
first to find a new cache.
A real thrill to being able to start a log entry with FTF!
Some cachers go to extraordinary lengths for that thrill. There
are stories of wild-eyed men speeding around in the night (women,
too, no doubt).
There are names for those people. FTF hound is a common term. I
believe that FTF shark is a term used often in the UK (that's
United Kingdom, not University of Kentucky).
For those of you who are true FTF hounds, help is at hand. Just
across the road, as a matter of fact. Just go in and announce that
you are addicted to FTFs and some very nice people in pretty white
coats will take good care of you.
For those of you who don't want to rush out at odd hours in all
kinds of weather to try to beat the FTF hounds to them, here's a
FTF for you. That's right, everybody gets a FTF on this cache. If
you want to add a little fun, tell us what you were the first to
find doing (riding a unicycle nude while juggling chainsaws, for
example).
