Geocache Description:

Another of the caches that take you to filming locations for the Doctor Who series, though in this case it was actually a Christmas Special.

This is one of a series of caches based on locations used for filming Doctor Who, both the latest series and earlier ones. If you're near such a location and want to add to the series, just let Pezzini know so that she can keep the numbers without duplicates and please keep to the naming convention of starting the series with "Who Was Here: ". Thanks

"The Runaway Bride" was the first appearance of Catherine Tate as ‘Donna’, hence the Nan reference in the title. St Johns Church is where the interiors shots of the wedding were filmed. I know that the name of this cache is a mix of "Doctor Who" and "The Catherine Tate Show", but that’s to give you a clue as to what you are looking for – it was originally a nano, and despite undergoing more transformations than the Doctor himself it is a nano again now.

Because there are a lot of possible places where it could be, please make sure that you replace it exactly where you found it. That allows me to give a precise hint to anybody who needs one. While you’re in the area, you might like to look at a few other places where I can’t place caches because (a) they are too close or (b) there’s no way of putting caches near them. If you’ve found The Runaway Nan-o, look up and you’ll see St David’s Market used in “Love and Monsters” where Elton (Mark Warren) tracks down Jackie (Camille Coduri) doing her shopping. Look further down you’ll see the Howells department store, if you go down the lane beside this, you’ll get to the other end and look back to see the façade that was blown up in “Rose” as the store where Rose worked. This also appeared in “The Christmas Invasion”. Back at the cache, you only have to turn around to see the Queen’s Arcade which appeared in “Rose”, as did Working Street to your left as you look at Queen’s Arcade. Working Street also appeared in “Voyage of the Damned”, it is the point where The Doctor (David Tennent) and Astrid Peth (Kylie Minogue) spoke to the paper seller (Bernard Cribbins). If you go down the High Street Arcade, you’ll see the spot which appeared in “Ghost Machine”. Turn right at the top of Working Street and you’ll be in the pedestrian Queen Street, which has appeared variously in “The End of the World”, “Blink” and “Smith and Jones”. There are other filming locations in the area, but this list is getting long enough already.
