The nova scotia cache, bog bridge balancing act, heikes view, and the notiz caches have been/ will be adopted.

A small cache full of Canadian trinkets. Only an arm´s length from a very smooth gravel path. Beautiful spot. Ein klein Behälter voll von wertlosen Kanadischen Schatz. Bist du auf dem Pfad, ist es zum Greifen nah. Schöne Ecke.
Canadian eh? This cache and the Nova Scotian cache will lead you to one of the prettiest corners of the Ruhrgebiet. There are lots of ways to get here. If you are travelling with a wheelchair or baby stroller, then parking in Mintard is the easiest way. If you have the time and want a nice walk, then I suggest you follow the directions to the Nova Scotia Cache (GC19RXD). From there continue under the Ruhr Valley Bridge and the A52 autobahn. After you´ve found the Cache, I suggest you continue northwest and take the first left up the hill. Then follow your GPS back to the parking lot.
The Ruhrtalbruecke connects Essen and Dusseldorf and passes directly over the village of Mintard. It is the longest steel bridge in Germany (1800m) and at its highest point the deck is 65m above the valley floor. Planning for the bridge began in 1960, actual construction started in 1963 and wasn´t finished until 1966. The construction costs were close to 20 million Euros. Today some 80,000 vehicles per day use the Ruhrtalbrücke.
The cache is a medium-sized tupperware container with a log book but no pencil. Close to the path and easy for kids except someone might have to stand on their tippy toes.
Its orginal contents included a Canadian Ski Patrol doll, a Canada lanyard, a Canada bottle opener, lots of varied Canada pins, a big Mounties pin, Canada tatoos, six lobster bands stamped with Wild Canada, a Skate Canada keychain, 3 flags, a Toonie ($2), a Geocoin and The Wood Family travel bug.

Dieser Cache und der Nova Scotia Cache werden Ihnen zu einer der schönesten Ecken in dem Ruhrgebiet führen. Wenn Sie Zeit und Lust auf einen schönen Spaziergang haben, dann schlage ich vor dass Sie den Weg und den Hinweisen folgen wie zum Nova Scotia Cache (GC19RXD). Davon aus, unter der Ruhrtalbrücke und der A52. Nachdem Sie den Cache gefunden haben, schlage ich noch vor, dass Sie weiter nordwestlich laufen und den ersten Weg links oben nehmen. Dann könnten Sie mit Ihrem GPS den Koordinaten ruhig zum Parkplatz folgen.
Die Ruhrtalbrücke (oder Mintarder Brücke) im Mülheimer Stadtteil Mintard an der Grenze zu Essen ist in Deutschland mit 1800 Metern die längste Strassenbrücke aus Stahl. Das Bauwerk verläuft als Teil der Autobahn A52 in Ost-West-Richtung. In einem weiten Bogen überspannt die Mintarder Brücke das Ruhrtal und verbindet über die A52 die Städte Düsseldorf und Essen.
Die Brücke zählt auch heute noch zu den wichtigsten Brückenbauprojekten Europas nach dem Zweiten Weltkreig. Die Planung für dieses damals einzigartige Projekt begann 1960. Mit dem Bau wurde 1963 begonnen. Mitte 1966 war die Brücke vollständig über das Ruhrtal gespannt. Ihre größte Fahrbahnhöhe liegt 65 Meter über der Ruhr. Die Baukosten betrugen umgerechnet rund 20 Millionen Euro.
Heute fahren etwa 80.000 Fahrzeuge pro Tag über die Brücke.
Dieser Cache ist ein medium tupperware Behälter mit ein Logbuch aber kein Stift. Dieser Cache wäre gut für Kinder obwohl jemand auf seine Zehenspitzen stehen mussen können.
