A cache in memory of Roald Amundsen
5 Leute waren es, die unter Führung von Roald Amundsen zum Südpol aufbrachen (Helmer Hanssen, Oskar Wisting, Sverre Hassel und Olaf Bjaaland). Nach einem Fehlstart wegen zu kalter Witterung gelang das Werk im 2. Versuch. 1911 am 14.12. gegen 15.00 Uhr (vergleiche die Cachekoordinaten) riefen Roald Amundsens Kameraden "Halt!". Sie hatten seit ihrem letzten Lager bei 89 Grad 45 Minuten Süd genau 15 Meilen zurückgelegt und befanden sich damit rechnerisch an ihrem Ziel. Ihr Blick schweifte umher. Sie wollten wissen, ob sie tatsächlich die ersten Menschen hier waren. Nach einer kurzen Zeremonie, die im Austausch einiger Sätze bestand, zu der Olaf Bjaaland einige Zigarren reichte, bestimmten sie drei Tage lang mit Messungen der Sonnenhöhe rund um die Uhr den Ort des Südpols, so gut es ihnen mit ihrer damaligen Technik möglich war.
Nach dem Lesen dieser Information und dem Aufsuchen der angegebenen Koordinaten sollte es möglich sein, den Cache zu finden. Er befindet sich in 65m Entfernung von den Koordinaten.
Achtung: Am Fundort besteht aufgrund von Nägeln Verletzungsgefahr!
Der Cache hat die Terrainsterne deswegen, weil man so weit gehen muss. Beachtet bitte, dass die Waldwege nicht mit Autos befahren werden dürfen. Mit der örtlichen Oberförsterin scheint nicht gut Kirschenessen zu sein!
Ich will noch einen Hinweis von Leonarda da Vinci aufgreifen: Es kann sich lohnen, ein Fernglas mitzunehmen, da man beim Cache verschiedene Vögel beobachten kann.

5 people set out for the South Pole under the leadership of Roald Amundsen (Helmer Hanssen, Oskar Wisting, Sverre Hassel and Olaf Bjaaland). After a false start due to cold weather, they succeeded in their second attempt. 1911 on 14.12. at around 15.00 (compare the cache coordinates) Roald Amundsen's comrades shouted "Halt!". They had covered exactly 15 miles since their last camp at 89 degrees 45 minutes south and were thus mathematically at their destination. Their eyes roamed. They wanted to know if they were indeed the first people here. After a short ceremony consisting of the exchange of a few sentences, to which Olaf Bjaaland passed a few cigars, they determined the location of the South Pole with measurements of the sun's altitude around the clock for three days, as best they could with their technology at the time.
After reading this information and finding the coordinates given it should be possible to find the cache. It is located 65m from the coordinates.
Caution: There is a risk of injury at the site due to nails!
The cache has the terrain stars because you have to walk so far. Please note that cars are not allowed on the forest paths. It seems that the local head forester is not a good person to deal with!
I want to pick up another hint from Leonarda da Vinci: it may be worth taking binoculars with you as you can observe various birds at the cache.
