This cache has been placed on Federal Property with permission and
we do not want to give any of the folks working nearby any reason
to be alarmed. The Facility Manager and Smoke Jumper Project
Foreman are both aware of the cache location. Please do not ask
them for assistance. :)
The Smokejumper Visitor Center is part of the largest active
smokejumper base in the nation. This Visitor Center is a unique
opportunity to learn about this unusual, demanding, and dramatic
occupation. Tours are available at 10am, 11am, 2pm, 3pm, and 4pm
daily between Memorial Day and Labor Day and the tour is free of
charge. Off-Season Tours are available if you call 406-329-4972 two
days before to arrange a time.
