Geocache Description:

An evening of camaraderie, food, and drink at a local pub! This is the C.R.E.W. from Waterloo's 2nd Meet and Eat Event!

This event is on Thursday, April 17th, 2008

Come have a brew with the C.R.E.W.!


C.R.E.W. stands for "Caching Regulars Encompassing Waterloo (Region)"

Everyone is welcome!

When: April 17th 2008, 6:00-9:00pm

Where: McMullan's on King

There is a side entrance off of Princess Street. We are in the upper level of the bar. There is very limited parking available on Princess Street at the side of the restaurant, but there are lots of side streets with free parking. We've also added 2 waypoints of nearby parking lots that are free after 5pm.

What: The usual sort of restaurant/pub activities: food, drink, and conversation!

Who: Geocachers and their guests (muggle friends are welcome too!) Please let us know how many in your group will be attending so we can ensure that the restaurant can accomodate us all.

Why: Why not? People had a great time at the first CREW pub night in February, so come on out and raise a glass to the coming of Spring: less snow and cold, and more warmth and light.

If you're new to geocaching, this is a great way to get to know the local group of cachers -- that is, assuming you want to meet the sort of people who would consider hiding tiny green-painted nano caches in 8 foot high cedar hedges.

If anyone has a local puzzle cache or two that have been haunting them, the CREW is willing to help!

The restaurant does have a flatscreen display that we can use, so if you want to share some pictures, just let us know.

There are a few stairs so this is rated a 1.5 terrain to start. However, terrain rating may vary over the course of the evening!

Prizes: There will certainly be one or two prize items. If you have something to give away, let us know.

There may even be another trivia-oriented contest, so feel free to brush up on geocaching esoterica, and perhaps win new, not-even-regifted prizes!

Travel Bugs/Geocoins: TBs and coins are welcome as always. Frankie & Johnny have volunteered to keep track of bugs and coins coming into and going out of the event so that we aren't left with stuff still logged in after it's over. Please contact them with any TB's or coins that you have dropped in so that they can update their list.
We also anticipate that the CREW geocoins will be unveiled as well.
