St
Wilfrids, Haywards Heath
There are no 'old' churches in Haywards Heath. This is mainly
due to the fact that the town only emerged in the late 19th century
when the planned route for the railway was moved away from
Cuckfield.
The parish church of St Wilfrid's was constructed in 1862. It is
an impressive structure with wonderful views over Victoria Park and
as far as the South Downs.
If any body would
like to expand to this series please do, I would just ask that you
could let Sadexploration know first so he can keep track of the
Church numbers and names to avoid duplication
