This was going to be another in the Church micro series - but for reasons that will become obvious it is not, though I will say it is not Micro, but a church is involved.
The location of the cache, which is within one mile radius of this church, was chosen very specifically and relevance will unfold
The above co-ordinates are not for the cache but for parking - this is adjacent to the church at Capel.
St Thomas a Becket, Capel
St Thomas à Becket, Capel is no longer in regular use, although it remains much loved, is open for occasional services, and for visiting during reasonable daylight hours (call at the white farmhouse opposite for the key).
It is now in the care of the Churches Conservation Trust (CCT).
This small Norman Wealden church has a lovely setting and much to fascinate the visitor. There is 14th century work and the tower was partly rebuilt after a fire in 1639. Inside, the crown-post roof is striking and there are some interesting fittings, but most significant are the extensive 13th century wall paintings covering much of the north wall of the nave, which were restored in 1967 by Mrs Eve Baker.
I will not give you any clues as to the co-ordinates for the cache as you have enough already - however you can have
