Geocache Description:

Cache is along footpath (signposted) which follows hedge lines and crosses unused fields. Fairly easy walk can be a bit damp underfoot after rain.

High Hatton is a small hamlet in Shropshire and as such has no pub of its own, the closest inn is 'The Tiddly' (or Royal Oak as it is sometimes called) which is 1.5 miles across the fields as the crow flies. Thankfully there is a small network of public footpaths around the hamlet allowing the residents to get to the 'Tiddly'
During the summer it is possible to meet locals along the path in various states of “Tiddlyedness” i.e. ‘going to be Tiddly or being Tiddly!

As you walk towards the cache from the North you have an excellent view towards Telford, The Wrekin and also over Shrewsbury towards the Welsh hills and Long Mynd. On your return up the hill you are looking towards High Hatton Hall, take a closer look at the windows and you might notice some of them are actually bricked up but painted to look like windows. (Did window tax really effect the rich?) The hall is currently undergoing renovations but you should be able to see the windows now, wether they will still be bricked up once they have finished we don't know.

The cache is about 1/2 mile from parking spot (N 52° 49.021 W 002° 34.607) in High Hatton or 1.2 miles from 'The Tiddly Pub' (N52º 47.971 W2º 35.407) in Elerdine.
At the larger of the two crossing points.

The road at N52º 48.532 W2º 34.760 is a farm road and has several gates along it, it is also rather narrow so please use the parking place suggested below.

The Cache is a ‘small’ 6” x 6” container which holds a Log book and pencil along with a torch (if you’re a night hunter) and a few other odds and sod’s!
The container should be able to hold small to medium sized Travel Bugs.
