Cacrificial well. 
Some documents and rumors tell us religious, heathen, ceremonies
have occurred here for more than 2500 year.
Long before the church was build, here was a place for
invocation of old times Gods. Just here, 30 meters along the hedge
in front of you, a well with remarkable clear water was welling,
and a small heathen temple was raised. People came from widely
away, to become good health and offer to their Gods. At that time,
the old asa-Gods, Tor, Oden , Balder, and more.
The church was raised in 11th century, and even than
superstition and offering, idolatry was normal here. Because people
were very generous, it was a good income for the church. Around
40-50 riksdaler, a fortune at that time, flow in every year.
There was one inscription beside the holy well that said:
“The more money you give, the more healthy you became and are
given place in heaven”. It required a royal edict in the 17th
century to stop the superstition sacrifice and hedonic ceremonial.

here.
