Colony Cwest - Bonus (Yorktown) Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Tggr&Pooh: All five of the preliminary caches have been archived, and we have long since moved away from the Houston area. We were unable to get any volunteers to take over the Colony Cwest series, so it is now formally archived in its entirety. - Merry Christmas!

Geocache Description:

THE CACHE IS **NOT** AT THE LISTED COORDINATES. We got comments saying that they didn't realize that this is both a multi-step cache *AND* a mystery cache, so I'm repeating that info. This is the NOMINAL starting WayPoint (It's a 3-stage multi-step cache, besides being a Mystery Cache) as a bonus stage of the Colony Cwest series. The coords are scattered in pieces in each of the other 5 Colony Cwest logs. Look at the top of each log for the clues.

(3/6/10) - Note: The Jamestown cache was lost in Ike, and looks like it won't get replaced. The bonus hint that was in the Jamestown cache, for those working to this bonus cache, is "N29º xx.1xx’ W095º xx.1xx’"

(2/5/08) - This was our first time to place caches, so we used it as a learning experience for us. We asked for feedback/comments in your log entries on the caches regarding placement, durability, problems, etc. … and we got them! This was definitely fun for us, and it seems that it was fun for many of you as well. I was pleased with the number of cachers for our first attempts.
For those who haven’t yet done the COLONY CWEST series, here’s the setup: Although this part of town has many caches, there are precious few in the Colonies themselves. So we placed one in each colony, using a different type of container for each one so we can learn what works for us, what doesn’t, and why. The caches are in neighborhood parks (with one exception), so please be considerate of mommy/daddy muggles who may wonder why strangers are wandering the parks near their kids. The caches are intentionally set AWAY from the play areas.
Each of the five main caches contains a partial set of coordinates to the final cache, which is in the final colony. This clue is listed AT THE TOP OF THE LOG for each cache (except for the two where I forgot to include it on the log!! . The final cache is yet another container type. The bonus/final cache has (had) a laminated FTF certificate, suitable for framing (or for tossing in a box).
*
CONGRATS to OSC for a clean sweep of FTFs for the series!!

SPECIAL NOTE POSTED 2/20/2008 as we re-activated this cache: Due to muggle activity (as in they insist on completely removing WayPoint #1), I am including the clue that WAS in this WayPoint right here. I suggest that you still go to the site and use the clue from that point. Here's the clue (using our standard encryption method) that WAS in WP1: "Arkg Jnlcbvag: 711 srrg sebz urer, ornevat 146 qrterrf gehr" - Sorry to all who have to use this kludge, but I didn't see a better way without changing the character of the cache itself.
