Tancici Dum / Dancing House

Tancící dum, jinak také Ginger and
Fred, dokoncený roku 1996, stojí v Praze na
Jiráskove námestí na pravém brehu
Vltavy. Je první stavbou špickových
svetových architektu, která byla ve meste po revoluci
realizována. Pojmenován je podle tvaru svých
dvou nárožních veží,
inspirovaných slavným meziválecným
tanecním párem Freda Astaira a Ginger Rogers.
Tancící dum navrhl Vlado Milunic spolu s Frankem O.
Gehrym, kterého k projektu prizval investor.
Interiéry kancelárí investora byly z
cásti svereny britské architektce ceského
puvodu Eve Jiricné. Jeho stavba rozpoutala
nejrozsáhlejší verejnou diskuzi o architekture
v Praze. Tancící dum dostal jedno z oceneních
v kategorii designu v ankete amerického Time. V
ceském casopisu Architekt se dostal mezi pet
nejvýznamnejších ceských staveb 90.
let. V budove, kterou financovala Nationale Niederlanden (dnes
ING), jsou kanceláre, luxusní kavárna a
restaurace. Prízemí a suterén, puvodne
urcené jako prodejní plochy, jsou nyní
využity jako víceúcelový
pronajímatelný prostor. Prízemí je
rešeno jako velkoprostor s prístupem od hlavní
recepce a z venku od nábreží.
Výrazným prvkem interiéru jsou
stávající železobetonové sloupy. V
suterénu je konferencní sál pro padesát
lidí, oddelitelný posuvnou stenou. Venkovní
terasa je doplnena dubovou stenou,
zvýraznující její oddelení od
prostoru vnitrního zázemí.

The
Dancing House, allias Ginger and Fred Building, is
situated at Jiráskovo námestí (Jirásek
Square) in Prague on the right bank of the river Vltava. It
is the first building designed by world-top architecters and
executed in Prague after the Revolution in 1989. Its name
comes from the two-corner bastions inspired with the world-known
dance couple, Ginger Rogers and Fred Astair. The Dancing House was
designed by Mr. Vlado Milunic
and Mr.
Frank O. Gehry and the interiors were partly carried out by Ms Eva
Jiricná, a Brittish architecter of Czech origin. The
construction of this house triggered the most widest public debate
on archtecture in Prague. The Dancing House won a prize for
designing in the American journal „Time“ and was
classified as one of the five most important buildings of the
90´.There are offices, a luxurious coffee-room and a
restaurant in the building financed by Nationale Niederlanden
(nowadays ING). The ground-floor and the basement-floor,
originally intended for selling space areas, are used as
multifunctional leaseable areas at the present time. The
ground-floor is solved as an open-plan area having the access from
the main reception and simultanously from the riverside. The
existing concrete-steel columns are significant elements of the
interior. In the basement-floor there is a conference room
for 50 persons which is possible to separate with sliding walls.
The outside terrace is supplemented by an oak wall which singled
out the separation from the zone of interior.
