Bear
Creek Redwoods is a small preserve consisting of shady redwood
groves and sunny grassy knolls. Permits are required to hike and
judging by the lack of footprints you'll run into few if any other
hikers.
The cache is placed at the only legal parking area for the
preserve, please do not park at any other entrance unless you are
on horseback. Parking for hikers is located adjacent to the cache,
just inside the BC04 gate. All roads in the preserve are closed to
vehicles.
Permits and further information may be easily
obtained by calling the District office at (650) 691-1200 during
regular business hours, ask for Leslie.
