I thought it would be fun to see how many new cache sites I could find near to Mills in my local area. These will include Watermills and Windmills, some still in use, some now used for other purposes. Most mills are sited in nice surroundings, so I hope you will enjoy visiting them. I will be adding new caches to this series over the next few months.
All the micros are hidden right on public footpaths. None of them will be very close to private houses. Some of them are near public highways, but many are along private roadways, with only footpath access. Please park considerately, and do not drive along any private roads to access the caches.
Littleworth Windmill – The windmill itself has completely gone, but there is a map at the nearby T junction which shows exactly where it used to be. I have hidden the micro very close to where it once stood. There is also a pub nearby, obviously named after it. There is room for street parking near the pub, and also along Mill Lane. Along Mill Lane you can also see the Old Mill House.
