Geocache Description:

This event celebrates one of our fellow cacher, DWKittler. Dave fought a courageous battled against colon cancer. During his passing he indicated just how much joy caching and the cachers he met brought to his life. Dave lived close to Penwood State Park and it was one of his most favorite places to hike and reflect. He had quite the reputation for nabbing most of the FTFs in his area during the peak of his caching career.

Dave indicated he would be most honored if we placed a cache to pay him tribute. We request all attending bring a small item for the cache we place during our hike. Please join us at the parking area at 10:00AM. From there we will hike to the picnic area and also stop by several of the caches in the park. While at the picnic area we will break for lunch. Plan on bringing what you want to eat and drink. The picnic area is not accessable via vehicle this time of year. The rain date is Sunday, November 9th.
