Geocache Description:

This cache is hidden along Hardwick Road, next to Bozedown Alpaca Stud Farm. Their website revealed some interesting Alpaca facts:

· Alpacas are clean and intelligent and make outstanding fibre producers, pets and companions.
· They are indigenous to the high Andes of the South American countries of Peru, Bolivia and Chile.
· There are 60,000 in North America, 80,000 in Australia but only 14,000 in the UK.
· They are quite, peaceful animals and make soft humming sounds to communicate.
· They come in a variety of colours including white, black, brown, grey and any combination of these.
· They are easy to raise and are safe around children and other animals.
· They are extremely hardy and adaptable to most climates, altitudes and conditions.
· Their average weight ranges from 125lbs – 175lbs and they live for 15 – 25 years.
· They eat grass in the summer and hay in the winter and half an acre is fine for 2 or 3 alpacas.
· Prices start at £700 for young males and £3000 for females.
