Geocache Description:

The cache is hidden next to a beautiful duck pond in the Derdepoort area, which is the third gateway in the Magaliesberg Mountains, from where the name Derdepoort originated. The first house of assembly was established on the farm on 22 May 1849. The owner of the farm, Hans Wolmarans has been buried next to the farm house.

This container was the old “RDX GCW1ET” with all the goodies and new logbook that was recovered from a archived cache.

Please note that there's a nominal entrance fee.
Gate times:
May – August 07H00-18H00
September – April 07H00-20H00
