The cache is hidden on top of a koppie close to the maroela lapa in the Derdepoort area, which is the third gateway in the Magaliesberg Mountains, from where the name Derdepoort originated. The first house of assembly was established on the farm on 22 May 1849. The owner of the farm, Hans Wolmarans has been buried next to the farm house.
Please note that there's a nominal entrance fee.
