Recently in the GONIL area, it has been a race to get the FTF on
a new cache with it usually going to the same person all the time
or another well known cacher getting the honor and moving on. Now,
they have to work a little harder to keep their title, In addition
I have made it a little more difficult to get the FTF because this
time it is going to take a little more than just going out and
finding this cache! As part of the new series, FTF Hound, the
cacher who gets the FTF has to keep the series going by placing a
new cache with the tag, FTF Hound within 30 days or repercussions
will follow (To Be Determined, but nothing too harsh)
The cache can be any size or
type, but it has to be hidden within the 6 county area (Cook,
Lake, DuPage, Will, McHenry, or Kane).
Never hidden a cache before, I can help
with that too. You see I have included a seed cache here for those
of you that have not hidden your own cache yet. If you have hidden
a cache, please leave it for someone who has not. If you do happen
to take the seed, please say so in your log so I can place
another.

NOW ABOUT THIS CACHE: Wow... a Mystery
cache that is actually at the listed co-ordinates? There must be a
catch, why don't I just go straight there? Glad you asked.... you
see, it is locked, you will need a key! Where will I find a key you
ask? Another good question, unfortunately I have no intention of
telling you! I will tell you this though, there are 20 keys that
will open the cache and I have placed them in existing cache
containers around the GONIL area. All you have to do is find one,
(see the attached pictures for an idea of what you are looking
for). That should be easy, I will just check your stats and see
what caches you have visited lately, the keys are probably in
those! Sorry, No. That would be too easy. Instead I have placed the
keys into caches I have previously visited and new caches I have
recently found but will hold off logging till later! OK Fair enough
what do I do once I have found a key? Ah that's the fun part. Here
is what I would like you to do..... 1 - When you log the cache you
found the key in, feel free to mention you found a key! But please
do NOT say if there are other keys still in that cache. 2 - Head on
out and find this cache, then when you log your find, PLEASE LOG
WHAT KEY NUMBER YOU HAD AND WHERE YOU ORIGINALLY FOUND IT. 3 - Once
you are finished drop your key off in some other cache someplace
else BUT DO NOT LOG THAT YOU LEFT A KEY THERE. Just drop it in
anonymously for someone else to stumble across! Fell free to drop
it into any cache, even if there is already another key there.
Sounds like fun... is the final cache easy to find? Sort of.... You
can find parking at N42 05.740 W087 52.955. From there hit the
trail and follow the arrow on your GPSr. There is some bushwhacking
involved and I did pass some thorns on the way in, so you have been
warned. Mind you, I did this in January, so the bushwhack may be a
little more difficult come warmer months. There is a camera inside
the final, please take a picture or 2 of your find. Once they are
all taken I will upload them here. Also, I have left special prizes
for FTF, STF and TTF... Who will be the next FTF Hound???? One last
note, as there are only 20 keys circulating (and some of those
won't be found for a very long time) please drop your key back into
play as soon as possible, even if you have not found the cache yet!
