Lovely walk to the Mvubu Falls
We arrived here and decided to walk to the falls, but we did not know it was about 3.5km to the falls.. So we hid the cache about 100m from the start of the trail and decided to come back to do the hike.. 4 days later we did the hike. But due to the rainfall and burn a lot of the path was destroyed.. You have to cross the river about 4 times (2 at bridges and 2 wading) but the second bridge is destroyed.. We got about 400m from the first of three falls and the path was totally blocked so we had to turn around. We spoke to the owners of the nearby hotel and they will be cutting the path and making it more clearly marked. We suggset if you have 3 hours, to try do the entire trail.. Its a lovely easy walk most of the way alongside the river all the way... Do not attempt this if the river is in flood and keep an eye out for crocs (as usual).
