Ludgerovice jsou jednou z nejvetsich obci v Moravskoslezskem regionu i v cele Ceske republice vubec. Prvni zminka o Ludgerovicich (Rudgersdorfu) je uz z roku 1303. Nyni obec lezi na uzemi o rozloze 1083 ha a zije v ni vice nez 4 600 obyvatel. Osada Vrablovec, ktera k Ludgerovicim patri, bezprostredne navazuje na mesto Hlucin. Prestoze obec lezi v okresu Opava, vzdy byla vazana spise k mestu Ostrava, ktere je vzdaleno pouze nekolik kilometru od obce.

Prostrednictvim teto serie bychom vam chteli priblizit krasy Ludgerovic a zajimava mista, ktera byste zde mohli navstivit.

Rybniky, ktere se nachazeji na jihozapadnim okraji obce, jsou bezesporu jednou z dominant Ludgerovic. Hovori se o nich uz ve starych historickych dokumentech stejne jako o prinosu rybareni pro obec. Prestoze v podstate vsechny projekty na vytvoreni hrist a obecne centra pro volny cas v teto oblasti zklamaly, muzete o vikendu potkat pomerne mnoho lidi korzujicich v jejich okoli. V cele lokalite je mozno pozorovat mnoho zvirat - zejmena obojzivelniku a uzovek.

Trosku usmevnou zajimavosti je otazka poctu rybniku v teto oblasti. I domorodi obyvatele hovori o ctyrech az sedmi - to je zpusobeno tim, ze krome 5 rybniku, ktere jeou obvykle zaznacovany v mapach jsou v jejich tesne blizkosti 2 mensi vodni plochy. Navic nektere z nich (hlavne posledni rybnik) se obcas meni v mokrad nebo az temer vysychaji (i kdyz v poslednich letech jsou vsechny napusteny).

Rybniky jsou napajeny krome destove vody potuckem usticim do posledniho (5.?) rybnika a vodu z nich odvadi Ludgerovicky potok, ktery pokracuje do Petrkovic. Prave u prvniho rybnika blizko stare rybarske chaty a zacatku Ludgerovickeho potoka zacina treti dil ludgerovicke serie.

Behem prochazky vedouci kolem rybniku budete hledat zelezna kolecka podobna tomu na obrazku. Na nich jsou souradnice nasledujici stage a budou na nich i bonusova cisla pro vypocet finalovych souradnic cache. Po nalezeni kolecka na posledni stagi muzete vyrazit na nasledujici souradnice:

Upozorneni: Stezka bohuzel prohrava s prirodou a ted je to prvnich par metru spise imaginarni chodnicek ve vysokych koprivach. Alternativni moznosti je pouzit ke cachi jinou castu zacinajici na nasledujicich souradnicich. Tam ale bohuzel ted zase priroda prohrava s clovekem ;(:

Doufam, ze se vam prochazka v klidnem prostredi mimo hlavni deni ve vesnici bude libit a pokud zrovna nespechate za dalsimi krabickami, preju hodne stesti pri pozorovani zvirat zijicich v okoli (sam jsem byl prekvapeny, kolik jsem jich pri priprave cache potkal). Nezapomente si take opsat bonusove cislo X, ktere bude potreba pro netradicni bonusovou cache.





Ludgerovice is one of the biggest villages in Moravia and Silesia but also in the Czech Republic. The first mention of Ludgerovice (or Rudgersdorf as it was called) is from 1303 so it has indeed a long history. The area of 1083 hectares belongs to Ludgerovice and over 4600 people lives here. It has also one settlement called Vrablovec that borders with Hlucin. Ludgerovice belongs to Opava district. However, it had always a tight relations with Ostrava, because the Ostrava city lies only a few kilometers from the end of the village.

During this set of caches you will be able to visit some beautiful and interesting places in Ludgerovice.

The ponds of Ludgerovice are situated at the south-west part of the village and are indeed one of the dominants. They were mentioned for the first time in historical document as well as the benefits of fishing. There were a lot of projects that should lead to building a small free time centre here (including building of small football pitch and children playgrounds) but none of them has been realized so far. Despite that fact is the area still the place where many people walk at the weekend or their free time. You can also spot a lot of animals living there - including many species of amphibians and decent population of grass snakes.

The number of the ponds is quite an interesting and a little bit funny story. Even local people are not consistent and speak about number from 4 to 7. There are five ponds usually plot on maps. There are 2 more small ponds nearby however and moreover some of the ponds (especially the last one) tend to became swamps of even dry out totally (but this is not the problem of last few years).

There is a small brook that flows into the last pond (the nearest pond to Vrablovec village) and brings the water to the ponds together with rain. On the other hand the brook of Ludgerovice starts near the first pond and flows further to Petrkovice. And here near the so called first pond near an old fishermen cottage this third cache of Ludgerovice serie begins.

Your goal is to find the metal discs that are placed near the ponds (you can see one at the image). You can find the coordinates of the next stage and moreover also bonus numbers that you need to find the final coordinates of the cache. Walk to the following coordinates after you find the last discs containing the last two bonus numbers:

Small forest path starts here and it will lead you to the cache location at:

Note: The path is unfortunately losing to the nature and only a very narrow trail in the middle of nettles left. The alternative way to the cache starts at the following coordinates. In reverse, at this point the nature is losing to human ;(:

I hope that you will enjoy this walk in this quiet and peaceful area aside the routine of everyday's life in village. And if you are not in a hurry to visit other caches, I wish you a lot of luck in observing of the animals living in this area (I have been surprised myself how many of them I was able to observe during cache preparation). Also don't forget to mark the bonus number X, that will be needed to finish the bonus cache of Ludgerovice cache serie.
