PHIL-ed With Stuff Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

ak8b: The container needs a full refurbish and rather than have this sit in disabled status for too long I'm going to archive it. It's had a pretty good run and I rather enjoyed stuffing it full when I first put it out. Thanks to all who hunted it!

Geocache Description:

This is the 6th in a series of Where's Phil? caches. Since IlliniPhil is nearing has achieved 1,000 caches, and that he has picked on several of us with his quick wit and cache pages, a consortium of cachers have decided to put out a series of caches in his 'honor'.

Stay tuned ... many more to follow.

Most of Phil's caches are micros and located in urban areas or cemeteries and although I do enjoy hunting them I also enjoy something bigger and off the beaten path from time to time. It's also nice to not have to get dizzy running around the Tallmadge circle. This one will have a bunch of goodies in it and trades are encouraged. Here's a photo of the initial contents:

Watch for poison ivy around the cache. It's pretty much unavoidable so wear long pants and/or hiking boots.

This is a camouflaged large round Lock & Lock container with the log, a pencil, and a variety of "stuff". There is a fair amount of room for trade items.

Placed off the main path in the woods. Park in the lot for Burst Park and follow the hike and bike path west. Access directly from the hike and bike path may not be practical - go through the open area to the east of the cache. It's not what I'd call winter friendly but it certainly is doable in the winter.

This is a park and is only open during daylight hours. Some minor bushwhacking is required. Some of the surrounding area is low and can flood at times so access may be limited. The cache itself is on ground high enough to avoid the flood.

Congratulations to W8TTS (and Madison J. Dog) for the First To Find!
