Geocache Description:

This is the third cache in a series based around old stations. Most of the actual station buildings are now in private ownership and access to them is limited, however most can still be seen from roads and public footpaths.

The cache is situated near the site of Grange Road Station which stood on the old branch line which ran between Three Bridges and East Grinstead.

Grange Road Station was opened on 2nd April 1860 by the London Brighton & South Coast Railway and closed on 2nd January 1967.

Nothing now remains of the old station but the picture above was taken within a few feet of the coordinates of this cache looking west.

The old track bed now forms part of the Worth Way which is very popular with dog walkers and cyclists but you should have no problems retrieving the cache.

At the coordinates above you will find a green sign with three words on it.

A = Number of letters in first word

B= Number of letters in second word

C= Number of letters in third word

The cache can be found at:-

N51.07.(A-1)(C-5)(B-6) W0.04.(B+1)(B+2)(A+1)

The cache itself is a small clip top box which contains the usual trades and certificates for 1st 2nd and 3rd to find. The bonus cache for this series has now been archived so no need to collect the bonus numbers.
