About SideTracked
We have Motorway Mayhem. We have A-Road Anarchy (cos there aren’t many Motorways in Wales!). But what about public transport users? SideTracked Caches are intended to provide quick Cache-and-dashes at Train Stations.
About Lapworth Station
Once called Kingswood, the station was opened in 1854 and is on the old London to Birmingham GWR line. It used have four tracks but is now reduced to two. At one time it was also a railway junction with a small branch line which ran to Henley-in-Arden, but was closed during the First World War. The track was then taken abroad for military use, but the ship carrying the rails was torpedoed. So the Henley branch line now lies at the bottom of the English Channel.
