Completely Rusted Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Didy Man: Too much work involved to keep these caches nice, they are robbed or not put back the way they were found way too often, it was fun while it lasted. Cheers, Didy Man

Geocache Description:

Cache is located 15 feet above sea level along a nice hiking trail.

There are many different routes to this cache, all are beautiful and fairly easy walking. Cache is located above and overlooking a section of the salt pans. This cache is inside a white "Lovers Ice Cream" container about 7 inches tall. The main treasure inside is a chunk of Brazilian Amethist, a nice prize for the first to find! Look for an old small building (in ruins) on the East side of the lake with 21 steps leading up to it, cache is 0.41 mile North of this building. From the old shack look North you will see an old Historic Landhouse (mustard yellow color) with orange roof at the top of the hill, head in that direction. Cache is located off a trail very near the Landhouse. It's aprox 1.41 miles to Calabash from Rusted and aprox 2.10 miles to Slave Wall from Rusted, you could find all 3 in about an hour and a half. Good luck and enjoy this beautiful area!
