Geocache Description:

The Co-ords listed are for the first waypoint. Here you will find a memorial to those that lost their lives in the Strongman Mine Disaster, 19th Jan, 1967. The memorial has two plaques which contain the information required to find the final waypoint.

The final waypoint is within 10km. The Cache is listed as 1.5 in difficulty and terrain. However, if you are cycling (or running) the terrain rating is much higher (perhaps 3.5 at least)-the 'Coast road' is a notorious training ground for local runners and cyclists.

If you are cycling and are coming from the north towards the Strongman waypoint, then email me and i'll send a photo of the plaques to save you backtracking. Drive-by(ers) don't bother!

The final waypoint is located further along the Coast Road, which on a beautiful day (or even a rough day) has a myriad of photo opportunities.
