A Black Magnetic Nano marking one of East London's old Wool Houses
There are 2 wool houses on Backchurch Lane, built in the 1880's for the Wool Storage Firm Browne & Eagle. According to elderly local sources, they were at one time connected to each other by 3 ariel bridges, and there is apparently still an underground tunnel connecting the two today.
The Wool House on the East side of Backchurch Lane (where the cache is) was used for the filming of the 2nd series of BBC 2's Dragon's Den, before it was converted into "luxury" apartments, and you'll recognise the characteristic large windows if you watch the program.
So - the cache - classic black magnetic nano, containing log book only - bring a pen and something to maybe help you get the log book out. When the building above was re-furbished for use as flats, a few things weren't necessarily fitted particularly well, as I guess they would be out of normal sight line. The cache marks the spot ! (and the hint will give it away almost completely just to warn you)
Best done during the day - the area is busy-ish so be discrete. Please be careful round here if attempting at night, as when the workers have gone away the streets round here can become unwelcoming.
