Geocache Description:

In a lonely cemetary in honor of Veteran's Day. Be sure to thank all vets as you pay honor to this vets grave.

Here lies Private Nelson E Adams. A Civil War, Union soldier from the 2nd Regiment, California Cavalry. He served in both the Alpha and Echo Companies. He lies in a one acre cemetery. Don’t worry about having to search the head stones as his is the only one in this well manicured cemetery. He died in 1878. Because part of his service took him to Cache Valley November 20-27 in 1862 I thought it appropriate to make his burial site a cache site as well.

This cache is just off of Nacimiento/ Fergusson Rd – Road which connects HWY 1 with Lockwood Valley. While traveling this road be sure to have your drivers license, car registration and proof of insurance to show at the gate as you will be passing through Ft Hunter Liggett Military Reservation. This road is available for public access.
