Po stopach husitu
V 15. století,
v období husitských válek, se v našem
kraji nekolikráte objevily oddíly husitských
vojsk.
V prubehu
našeho bádání jsme zjistili, že na
tomto míste se jednoho podzimního dne roku 1423
(toto datum bude v budoucnu
duležité a proto si jej zapamatujte) objevily oddíly husitu pod vedením hejtmana
Jana Hvezdy z Vícemilic zvaného Bzdinka (O jeho osobe
se ješte zmíníme.) a to po
úspešném dobytí a vyplenení
nedalekého hradu Štamberk
(GC13B8Q), jehož majitelé - páni z Hradce
patrili k významným odpurcum kalicha. Zde u
studánky, chráneni hustým lesním
porostem, se utáborili aby oslavili své
vítezství, ošetrili ranené a pripravili
se na další cestu, na další boje, na
další vítezství. Mezi
místním lidem tato událost zustala v
podvedomí a možná proto se v
pozdejší dobe stalo toto místo místem
tajných bohoslužebných
shromáždení pronásledovaných
evangelíku hlásících se k ceské
reformaci v 17. a 18. století. Od tech dob zove se
„Studánka Páne“. Na pamet tohoto byla v
pozdejších letech nad studánkou postavena
kamenná stavba, pripomínající malou
rotundu. Traduje se povest, že jedno takové
shromáždení bylo nenadále prepadeno
ozbrojenou mocí práve ve chvíli, kdy
úcastníci slavili Veceri Páne a pri ní
prijímali z kalicha. Duchovní na úteku
prý kalich hodil do studánky, aby nepadl
pronásledovatelum do rukou. Prý je tam dodnes. Povest
je obrazným vyjádrením skutecnosti, že v
kraji kolem Javorice se udržela silná strediska
evangelíku navazujících na ceskou reformaci
až do doby vydání tolerancního patentu
císare Josefa II. (1780-1790) (*13.3.1741 †20.2.
1790). U Studánky Páne se konají
vzpomínková shromáždení
každým rokem ctvrtou nedeli v srpnu.
Vratme se ale k
naší ústrední postave - Janu Hvezdovi z
Vícemilic. Narodil se v osade Vícemilice u
Vyškova. (souradnice N 49° 8,494‘ E 017°
1,167‘). Jeho ranná léta jsou ale zahalena
rouškou tajemství. Jeho jméno se poprvé
objevuje až se vznikem husitského hnutí. Strme
stoupá na hierarchii husitských vudcu až je v
roce 1421 Janem Želivským dosazen za
pražského mestského hejtmana. V úradu ale
není dlouho a v roce 1422, po zasedání
rozhodcí komise spojeneckých šlechticu a
hetmanu mající za úkol vyrešit
politické napetí v hlavním meste, je spolecne
s ostatními sesazen. Odchází z Prahy. Bojuje
dál se svým vojskem proti neprátelum husitu.
Zminme napr. dobytí tvrze Malešov (souradnice N
49° 54,660‘ E 015° 13, 277‘),
vypálení bechynského zámku (souradnice
N 49° 17,512‘ E 014° 28, 088‘) na prelomu let
1422 – 1423 a již zmíneného hradu
Štamberka (souradnice N 49° 12, 787 E 015°
22,678‘). V roce 1423 se pripojuje k oddílum Jana
Žižky z Trocnova s kterým zustane až do
Žižkovi smrti roku 1424.
O
dalších osudech Jana Hvezdy z Vícemilic a jeho
verných v boji si musíte pockat na
další pokracování...

Traces of hussites 1
In the 15th century,
during the era of Hussite wars, troops of the Hussite army had
ventured into our region several times. We would like to share with
you the results of our research in this area.
This first cache
shall take you to a location just under the summit of the Vysocina
(Highlands) region – Javorice (836m), to a natural spring
named The Spring of the Lord. In the course of our research, we
have discovered that this was the very place where, on one autumn
day in the year 1423 (remember this date
as it is going to be important in the future), units of the Hussites gathered under the command of their
hetman Jan Hvezda of Vícemilice, nicknamed Bzdinka (=
Stinky; we shall focus on his person later), after having
successfully beseiged and pillaged the nearby Štamberk
castle
(GC13B8Q), whose owners – gentry from Hradec –
belonged to important adversaries of the chalice movement. Here, at
the spring protected by a thick grove, the rebels had encamped to
celebrate their victory, tend to their wounded and prepare for
their next movements, fights and victories. Local folk has taken
this event into their lore, and perhaps that was the reason why the
place has become the location for secret masses and religious
congregations of persecuted Protestant believers, who opted for the
reformed church in the 17th and 18th centuries. The spring has
since those times been known as “The Spring of the
Lord”. A stone building akin to a little rotunda has been
erected over the source later, in memory of a legend of one such
congregation being suddenly bushwhacked by armed forces during
their Holy Communion, while using the forbidden chalice. The priest
is believed to having thrown the chalice into the spring to hide it
from the pursuers; it has not been taken out again. The legend
reflects the fact that the countryside around Javorice supported an
undeground network of Protestants rooted in Czech Reformation,
until Emperor Joseph II ( 1780-1790) (*13.3.1741 †20.2.1790)
issued his Edict of Tolerance. Today, traditional remembrance
congregations at the Spring of the Lord are held on the fourth
Sunday of August every year.
Let us return to our
hero – Jan Hvezda. He was born in the village of
Vícemilice near Vyškov (coordinates N 49°
8,494‘ E 017° 1, 167‘). His early years are
surrounded by a veil of mystery. His name is first mentioned with
the emergence of the Hussite movement. He quickly rises in the
ranks of the Hussite leaders, being appointed in 1421 into the
position of Hetman of the City of Prague by Jan
Želivský. He does not stay in his office for long; in
1422 a committee of joint gentry and hetmans charged with solving
political tension in the capital, removes him along with many
others. He leaves Prague, joins his army and fights many Hussite
enemies. Let us mention the capture of the Fort Malešov
(coordinates N 49° 54,660‘ E 015° 13,277‘),
burning down the Bechyne Castle (coordinates N 49°
17,512‘ E 014° 28,088‘) between 1422 and 1423 and
the aforementioned Štamberk castle (coordinates N 49°
12,787‘ E 015° 22, 678‘). In the latter year, he
joins units of Jan Žižka of Trocnov, with whom he stays
until Žižka’s death in 1424.
You will have to wait
for more adventures of Jan Hvezda of Vícemilice and his
fighting comreades, until next time...
The initial
coordinates will take you to the Spring of the Lord. To find out
the final coordinates, you will need the date of the Edict of
Tolerance by Emperor Joseph II, in the form:
