North Vancouver Public Art Cache #8 Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Public Art: Unfortunately, the time has arrived to archive this cache. My apologies for not doing it sooner.

There are just so many new art pieces available to be featured and the number of official Public Art caches shouldn't become overwhelming. Watch for a brand new "#8", coming soon to a piece of public art near you!

Once the trail upgrade work is finished (tentatively early June) this will be an excellent spot for a brand new cache hide! (hint, hint)

Geocache Description:

Welcome to the North Vancouver Public Art Geocache experience!

This is one of several Public Art Geocaches around North Vancouver, in both the City and the District. All are close to some very interesting public art that has been placed on public land. This is cache features the following art pieces:

Birdhouse Forest: Graham Eagle, 2005
Fifteen eclectic birdhouses have been built by local artists with a variety of materials to creatively incorporate the needs of the local bird habitat.

Please take the time to enjoy the art and comment of your favourite piece. I have placed the caches near the featured public art that is part of a set so you will have to hunt around to find all the art. See how many you can find! Consider this art-treasure-hunt as a bonus cache destination. Take some photos, post your comments and don't forget to tell me what you think is your favourite piece in this geocache location.

Muggles lurk close by (most are walking their dogs but there can also be Bodwell students taking a smoke break off campus) so don't go for the cache if the place is too busy. You can always have a quick look at the art while you are waiting for the place to cool down. The container is a Lock and Lock, green and brown, spray painted container.

As always have a great Geocache time and I hope you have a chance to visit the other public art locations around the North Shore.
