Predný Cebrat (945 m.n.m.) je najznámejšou prírodnou dominantou
Ružomberka, fotbaloví reportéri, ktorým sa výraz "ružomberský tím"
zrejme zdá príliš fádny, nepovedia už inak ako "tím spod
Cebrata".
Na vrchol vedie cervenou znacený turistický chodník zacínajúci
na stanici. Tabula hovorí, že to je prechádzka na 90 minút, ale
mojim lenivým nohám to rozhodne zaberie tak 2 hodiny... Spociatku
vás povedie popri Váhu, ale už za štvrt hodiny sa budete šplhat do
zväcša zalesneného úbocia. Odporúcam dávat pozor na znacky, chodník
nie je najmladší, dost casto sa podarí stratit znacku i miestnym a
cesta priamo za šípkou skutocne nevedie. Aspon teda bez patricného
vybavenia nie :-). (Kvôli stavu znacenia zvyšujem nárocnost terénu
o 1/2)
V záverecnej casti výstupu sa vám zacnú otvárat výhlady najprv na
západný Ružomberok a po poslednom stupáku už odlesnenou castou sa
pod vašimi unavenými nohami objaví skoro celý Ružomberok.
Nezabudnite si so sebou dalekohlad, možno sa vám podarí niekoho
prichytit pri hladaní pokladu templárov :-).
Pre motorizovaných kacerov je tu druhá - kratšia možnost
výstupu. Autom sa môžete vyviezt až na úbocie Cebrata nad Likavkou
(waypoint BEGIN2) a pokracovat odtial (samozrejme už pešo) lesnou
cestou do kopca až na križovatku so znacenou cestou (waypoint
CROSS). Tu odbocíte z lesnej cesty doprava a pokracujete dalej
podla znaciek.
Samotnú kašku nájdete nedaleko vyhliadky pri neznacenom
chodníku, ktorý pokracuje dalej na Zadný Cebrat (1054 m.n.m.). Ten
je však už úplne zalesnený a žiadnu vyhliadku tu nenájdeme, i ked
prechádzka to je príjemná...
Pri odlovení nie je potrebná žiadna enormá opatrnost, zväcša
budete na vrchole sami, v zime však prosím trochu zastierat stopy,
v snehu všetko vidno. Nech tam neostane oci kolúca geodialnica ku
kaške :-).

Predny Cebrat (945 m.a.s.l., 3100 ft.a.s.l.) is the best known
natural view point in Ruzomberok.
There is a red marked trail leading to the summit, it starts at
the railway station (check out the BEGIN waypoint and picture).
Slovakia uses the same marking system like Czech Republic, just
follow these signs:

The information panel says that the hike takes 90 minutes, but
my lazy feet always need 2 hours... First few hundred meters will
lead you along the Vah river, but already in a quarter of hour
you'll find yourself climbing the woody hill-side of Cebrat. I
recommend to pay attention on the marking, the trail is already
quite long in service and even the locals happen to loose the trail
sometimes. And there is really no trail in the direction the arrow
of your GPS device points. Or at least not without a proper
equipment :-). (Because of the poor condition of the marking I
added 1/2 to terrain difficulty)
In the final part of the hike the forrest gets thin and makes way
for the first views on the western part of Ruzomberok and after
climbing the last slope you have almost the whole Ruzomberok under
your weary feet. Don't forget to take your binoculars, perhaps
you'll catch up somebody searching the treasure of templars.

There is a second possibility for car-enabled cachers. ;-) Leave
the car on the hillside above Likavka village (waypoint BEGIN2).
From this point continue walking on the forest road to the crossing
with the red-marked trail (waypoint CROSS). Leave the forest road
here, turn right and follow the red marking.
The cache itself is hidden not far off the top near the trail
leading to Zadny Cebrat (1054 m.a.s.l., 3458 ft.a.s.l.). This trail
is also very nice, however there is no view there, because the top
is completely forested.
Usually there is no special stealth needed, you'll be most
probably alone up there, I just bid you to cover you track in
winter a bit. Just don't leave there an obvious trail spoiling the
cache, the snow reveals everything :-).
