EDIT: Am 10.10.15 haben wir den Cache mit einem neuen Logbuch bestückt und noch einmal etwas verlegt, jetzt ist er nicht mehr so direkt neben dem MTB-Trail und auch etwas schwieriger zu erreichen. Dafür gibt es jetzt auch ein Spoilerbild. Bitte beachtet die geänderten Koordinaten!
Freiburg lag im 17./18. Jahrhundert als "Frontierstatt" im direkten Spannungsbereich zwischen Habsburgern und Frankreich und war entsprechend oft umkämpft. Als Zeugnis dieser zahlreichen Auseinandersetzungen findet man auch heute noch an manchen Stellen in und um Freiburg Geländestrukturen, die einst Verteidigungsanlagen darstellten. Eine davon findet man auf dem Weg zu diesem Cache, der selbst auf einer Plattform liegt, die vielleicht einmal als Aussichtsposten oder Lager gedient haben könnte.
Parkmöglichkeiten gibt es bei 47°59.094N, 07°52.433E. Von dort sind es nur wenige Meter bis zu einer Wanderwegkreuzung bei 47°59.087N, 07°52.402E.
Von dort führt ein markierter Weg bis kurz vor den Cache. Wer statt eines markierten Weges lieber sein GPS-Gerät nutzen möchte, wird vermutlich einen Weg abseits des Wanderwegs nehmen - dann erhöht sich aber die Geländeschwierigkeit auf etwa 3.
Bitte Bleistift, Spitzer und natürlich das Logbuch im Cachebehälter lassen.

My first cache, just a micro for the start...
On the way to the cache you can see some structures that have been barricades during the numerous conflicts between the Habsburgs and France during the 17th and 18th century. The cache itself is located on a platform which is surrounded by what could have been a trench and which might have served as a campsite or lookout.
You can park your car at 47°59.094N, 07°52.433E.
From there, it is only a couple of meters to a junction of marked trails at 47°59.087N, 07°52.402E.
One of the trails is leading you near the cache. If you prefer using your GPSr instead of following marked trails, you will probably use another way, which is OK, however the terrain difficulty will rise to 3 or so.
Please leave pencil, pencil sharpener and logbook in the cache container.
