Cache situated along a busy coastal road which is travelled by
fisherman, surfers and tourist. This road links Gordons Bay to
Rooiels via Clarence Drive. During August/September this is also
one of the best spots to do whale spotting. Not far from the cache
is Kogel Bay which is surfer paradise .
This cache comes to South Africa from Auckland, New Zealand. The
contents of the cache are all N.Z. related and sent here by ZORK V
~~ New Zealand Geocacher. The Huskies will be maintaining this
cache for Zork V. When you visit this cache, please have trade
items that represent the region you are from or South Africa. The
reason this is asked is because the trade items will go to the
sister cache in the NZ. Any money placed in this cache will go to
the NZ. An International Cache Exchange is where two people from
two different countries agree to exchange caches. Then, you
maintain the cache in your country & the other person maintains
the cache in their country. When supplies get low, you replenish
your cache in the other country & your counterpart replenishes
the cache in your country. Park at any of the 2 parking area - but
take care when crossing the road. Climb up the embankment - GPS
should lead the way. The cache is not hidden in the obvious place.
Please be aware at all times of baboons in this area.
