Geocache Description:

35MM film container. Bring a pen.

Probably no Geocaching topic is debated as hotly as that of "micros", especially so called, "micros in the wild". In other words, a micro at an end of a trail, on a mountain or in a forest. There seems to be two opposing attitudes.

  1. Always hide the biggest container that the area can support.
  2. Micros are OK because they add to the challenge.

Personally, I have no problems with micros in the wild as long as they satisfy one of the following.

  1. They mark a trail or turning point.
  2. They highlight some long forgotten infrastructure or artifact.
  3. They highlight a interesting part of nature.
  4. They are cleverly designed and camouflaged.

I like to be real careful about where I put my caches. Usually, I'll be hiking along and discover a spot that I really want to share with the Geocaching community. The chances that I'll just happen to be standing there with an ammo can are not really that great, so you get what you get. No complaints so far. This cache highlights a little used, yet perfectly maintained trail. The cache is partially exposed so that it can be seen if one is looking in the right place, however, the cammo seems to work well as some have had problems. Please leave it partially exposed, there is no need to completely hide it.

Watch where you put your hands and most of all, Have Fun!
