The Umgeni Valley Nature Reserve is situated opposite the Howic Falls.
Six walking trails will take you to different parts in this reserve. There are about 270 bird species and a long list of Animals such as Giraffe, Leopard, Zebra, Kudu ext.
The Umgeni Valley Reserve also give Enviromental Education Courses.
All visitors need to pay at reception; R15.00 pp and R8.00 for kids.

Park at given Co-Ords. The cache will bring you at the top of the Shelter Falls. Please be careful as it is steep down into the valley. The cache is a small 0.8 liter rectangular container, just big enough to hold small travel bugs.
