Geocache Description:

Welcome to the Warwickshire Little Quest.

For more information about this country-wide network of caches, please click on the "Little Quest" banner above.

Inside the cover of the logbook are the co-ordinates you will need to note down to complete the "Little Quest" series.
Cache container is a 1 Litre lock n lock.

Just under 5 miles (as the crow flies!) from Warwick, with other caches in the local area.

Warwickshire, often referred to as "Leafy Warwickshire" is a landlocked non-metropolitan county in central England.

The county town is Warwick, although the largest town is Nuneaton in the far north of the county.

Warwickshire is perhaps best known for being the birthplace of William Shakespeare from Stratford-upon-Avon.

The county has also produced other literary figures such as George Eliot (from near Nuneaton), Rupert Brooke (from Rugby), and Michael Drayton from Hartshill.
There are no cities in Warwickshire since both Coventry and Birmingham were incorporated into the West Midlands county in 1974.

Historically much of western Warwickshire, including the area now forming part of Birmingham and the West Midlands, was covered by the ancient Forest of Arden (although most of this was cut down to provide fuel for industrialisation in the 17th to 19th centuries). For this reason, the names of a number of places in the north west part of Warwickshire end with the phrase "-in-Arden."
Some organisations, such as Warwickshire County Cricket Club, which is based in Edgbaston, Birmingham, still observe the old historic county boundaries.

NOTE: The road is not the safest of roads for walking along (fast traffic and unsighted bends) we have added two parking alternatives. We would feel happier if one or the other was used for your own safety!

Additional Waypoints
Church parking: N 52° 12.702 W 001° 33.897
Hard surface, cross the road, compacted -less muddy- to cache.

Gateway parking: N 52° 13.041 W 001° 34.103
Across a field to the cache, mud possible! Path is to the right of the hedge (as far as we can tell!) Slightly longer route, add an extra half* to terrain.

*Why "Percy's Bored"?
We took Percy the greyhound for a walk.
He likes walking. Standing around 'Geocaching?'... "No thanks!"
