Once upon a time, a great girl named Claire
had a good buddy who moved far, far, far away. She missed her a
lot. But, little Claire had a terrific mom who agreed to drive her
across several states in a mini-van to see her wayward buddy over
Labor Day weekend 2007.
Because there was no lack of things to do, we
almost didn’t get this cache placed! We spent the weekend at:
The nearby Air Force Academy

Garden of the Gods
http://www.gardenofgods.com/home/index.cfm
On our last evening there, Little Claire,
masmidwest and I went out and placed
this cache near our hosts' home. If you
are a visitor, take the time to tour some of the things we saw, as
they are all within a short drive and can be seen in a couple hours
each. If you are local, then try to see this wonderful city through
the eyes of someone who lives in FLAT FLAT Iowa all the time. ;-)
This cache is a Rubbermaid container about 1
quart in size. Maybe 4” X 4” X 8”, so bring appropriate items.
I am not giving any hints other than those in
the hint area, so good luck!
The cache at placement time contains:
A logbook (in a ziplock baggie with other items)
Pen
Pencil
Light-up hair-ball
Hannah Montana microphone keychain
2 souvenir Air Force Academy pennies
Wisconsin state quarter
Virginia state quarter
And….
2 TRAVEL COINS!!
A cydriver travel
coin from pathtags.com (PLEASE LOG AT
PATHTAGS.COM!!!)(masmidwest
donated this) and
A
MrsIceCreamMan GCC
So, the first and second to find have some
nice incentive!
As with my Canada cache, I live about 1000
miles away from this cache, so any help in maintenance would be
greatly appreciated. The terrain and difficulty will certainly
increased if there is heavy snow in the area. Oh, and, as with my
Canada cache, if you want to email me to help refine the
coordinates, I welcome the help that way too.
Happy Caching! CITO, and thanks to the
Colorado residents and Colorado Springs area for a wonderful Labor
Day weekend!
