LIPTOVSKÁ MARA - HAVRÁNOK
ARCHEOLOGICKÁ PAMIATKA A MÚZEUM V PRÍRODE
Na kopci Havránok a v jeho okolí severne od hrádze priehrady Liptovská Mara pocas dlhorocných vykopávok odkryli pracovníci Archeologického ústavu Slovenskej akadémie vied vzácne doklady minulostí. Pocas viac ako pät storocí, (od 4. stor. pred Kr. do 2. stor. po Kr.), tu existovalo jedno z najvýznamnejších výrobno-obchodných centier Západných Karpát Pozostávalo z hradiska so svätynou a šiestich okolo ležiacich osád. Jeho obyvatelstvo tvorili pôvodní obyvatelia tejto oblastí a keltskí kolonisti zo stredného Podunajska. Po opakovanom znicení hradiska a svätyne na prelome letopoctu žili niektoré z osád až do druhej polovice 2. storocia,kedy tento lud po porážke od Rimanov opúšta krajinu.
Po krátkej epizóde germánskeho osídlenia na zaciatku 5. storocia a nasledujúcej dobe bez osídlenia krajiny sem v 9. storocí prichádza slovanské obyvatelstvo. V 12. storocí bol na území bývalej obce Liptovská Mara postavený prvý farský kostol v Liptove a v tej istej dobe na bývalom hradisku Havránok vybudovali drevené zemepanské sídlo, ktoré zaniklo v roku 1474. Liptovská Mara bola po dlhé storocia správnym strediskom Liptovskej župy a konali sa tu tradicné zhromaždenia stolicnej šlachty.
Významné a dobre zachovalé keltské a stredoveké pamiatky na kopci Havránok boli zakonzervované a ciastocne zrekonštruované. Sú prístupné verejností v Archeologickom múzeu v prírode, ktoré spravuje
Liptovské múzeum v Ružomberku. Na Havránok sa dostanete pocas celého roka. Pocas letnej turistickej sezóny je vstup spoplatnený, ale získate tým možnost si prezriet expozíciu ktorá sa nachádza v priestoroch Archeologickej základne na Havránku.
Rekonštrukcie už podliehajú "zubu casu" a cakajú na svoje obnovenie, preto prosím (aj v kvôli vlastnej bezpecnosti) dodržiavajte nariadenia o zákaze vstupu (keška sa dá uloviť aj bez potreby prekročiť pásku "zákaz vstupu" - treba k nej prísť "od zadu").
Pri hladani skryse prosím nerozoberajte nic!!!.
Tak dúfam že aj vy si užijete krásu a výhlady tohoto miesta a možno aj kúsok "bezcasia".
Túto skrýš venujem všetkým ludom, ktorý sú spojený s týmto miestom a ktorý tu strávili cast svojho života.

ARCHAEOLOGICAL MONUMENT AND OPEN-AIR MUSEUM
On the hill Havranok ("Ravenhill") and In its surroundings north to the dam of the barrage Liptovska Mara many valuable evidences of the past life were recovered during the longterm excavations conducted by the collaborators of Institute of Archaeology of Slovak Academy of Sciences. One of the most important West Carpathian centres of production and trade existed here for more than 5 centuries, from the 4th century B.C. up to the 2nd century A.D. It consisted of hillfort with sanctuary and 6 settlements/habitation areas in its surroundings. Autochthon inhabitants of the mountains together with new Celtic colonists from the Middle Danube region settled this area. Despite the multiple destruction of fortification and sanctuary on the break of eras some of the villages survived the catastrophe and life in them went on up to the 2nd century A.D. when their settlers, after the capture by the Romans, left the country. After the short episode of Germanic colonisation at the beginning of the 5th century A.D. and the following time without the settlement Slavic tribes reached this territory. In the 12th century the first parish church of Liptov region was built on the ground of village and at the same time a timbered manorhouse of the local landlord originated on the hill Havranok. Its time came to the end in 1474. Village Llptovska Mara was administrative centre of Liptov county for centuries and it was also the traditional site were the assemblages of regional nobility took place.
Important and well-preserved Celtic and medieval remains on the hill Havranok were conserved and partly reconstructed. They are opened to public and belong to tne archaeological open-air museum administrated by Liptov Museum in Ruzomberok.You can get to Havránok all year long. Entrance is not free during summer tourist season, but you can see whole exposition in Archeological station Havránok. Reconstructions liable to ravages of time and waiting for renovation, so please respekt "no entry" tables, sometimes. And please, dont move the bricks!!!.
