Geocache Description:

This cache is number 5 of 5 on a beautiful 3 mile circular walk that begins by following the course of the River Arun and adjacent Wey and Arun Canal. Nearby Wisborough Green is well worth a visit before or after your walk. It is the quintessential English village, complete with village green, cricket pitch, duck pond, church, pubs and tea room (opposite green).

The suggested parking place is along the A272 and is limited to three cars. You could visit the Limeburners PH and, with permission, leave your car there. It is also possible to park a couple of cars on the road by the bollards of the pub car park. Alternatively, you could park further down the same lane and join the path.

There is masses of wildlife to enjoy on your walk. We saw herons, Canada geese, swans, ducks, bunnies, masses of frogspawn and not-so-wild highland cattle. Previously I have seen deer and a kingfisher along the same route.

Please bear in mind that this part of the Arun valley does tend to flood in times of heavy rain. If wet, do not attempt without wellies!
