Geocache Description:

Thought up while on holiday and, owing to my good mood, it is pretty straightforward I think.

The published coords are for a possible parking spot with room for 3 cars. There is the first great view from this parking spot. About 200 yards further West along the same road there is space for 2 more cars. The walk to the cache offers further great views. When I set it this evening, in bright late summer sunshine, it was a very beautiful stroll.

The cache is hidden very close to N 51 X W 000 Y. To solve read on.

On holiday my wife and I try to make time for activities which we don't get around to often enough during everyday life. We each managed a favourite but neglected activity 6 times during our two week break, in a variety of locations: in bed, in a great hammock at the place we were staying, lying in the grass in the afternoon sun by a quietly flowing river, and even, slightly coyly, at a cafe when the service was a bit slow. The only problem was when one of us finished well before the other one, as hanging around for the other one to finish can test one's patience a bit. Anyway, all 6 experiences were out of the top drawer this year (which isn't always the case) and I thought I'd share the pleasure we'd had by means of this geocache.

A= 3,5

B*= 3,7,2,5

C= 3,3,8

D= 3,14,2,6

E= 1,4,2,6

F= 5,5

*by mutual agreement the best of the bunch

At some stage in your calculations you will need to use the following two numbers 0000111100000 (for calculating the Northing) and 0000000011110 (for calculating the Westing)

You will also need the following words (listed in alphabetical order below).

a, bother, delusion, god, interpretation, meaning, murder, night, of, of, of, plain, red, river, spot, the, the, the, truth.

1000X = A - B - F + E + C + D + 161

1000Y = A + B + C + D + F - (5.5*E) + 55

Once you have solved the puzzle this will take you to GZ. After some wood clearing activities at and near GZ, the cache had to be moved slightly. See new hint. Signal is difficult here but the formula above is for the new location.

Our fun would not have been possible without Mark, Michael, Jed, Richard, Jodi, and Lalita to whom we owe sincere thanks. I hope you enjoy yourselves as much as we did.

Over time the solution to this puzzle has become more difficult. Here's some more helpful clues:

1) My wife is very organised and we buy everything we need for our holiday (and esp. this much loved activity) before we leave. We buy it here in the UK but we do try to minimise the weight that we carry with us! (No batteries or chargers needed for this activity back then)

2) This cache was set in summer 2007. Some solvers have come up with an alternatives which would mean we would have had to timetravel to the future!

3) These words may come in useful for disambiguating choices (Murray; Flame; Headline [twice]; Swan)
