SVC: After some long thought I think I'll put this cache to bed for the time being. Between the recent vandalism and my schedule (I start teaching next week) I'm not sure when I'll find the time to replace this cache. I already have enough out there and I have one more in the works close to my home that I will publish soon. If no one does anything with this area I might bring it back. But if someone would like to replace the cache and use the information I have no problem with that. I will collect the geolitter later this week.

Geocache Description:

In memory of Frank Gorshin.

This cache will take you to the final resting place of one of Pittsburgh's most famous celebrities, Frank Gorshin. But before I begin let me stress one thing. The cache is NOT located near any graves. In fact it is far away from any of them. The cache is located around Calvary Cemetery in Hazelwood just off of Hazelwood Ave. Now for some history.

Frank John Gorshin, Jr.was born in Pittsburgh, Pa on April 5, 1933. He is best remembered for his role as The Riddler on the live action Batman series staring Adam West. Besides being on of the many villains on the show, Frank Gorsin had a long career that spanned decades. He died in Burbank, California on May 17, 2005 and his ashes were brought back to his hometown for burial. He now rests near his parents and brother in Calvary Cemetery in Pittsburgh, Pa in the neighborhood of Hazelwood. If you would like to learn more about him please see the links below
