Kalousi / Owls
Long-eared Owls (Asio otus) are the second commonest owls in Central Europe. They defend its territory in agricultural landscape during breeding season, but they use common roosts in winter. One such place, holding up to 40 birds between November and March, is located near this cache, in a group of silver spruces (among buildings). You can see the owls flying out for vole hunting by visiting this cache in winter between sunset and complete dark.
The cache itself is not very hidden, yet it is not easy to find. It is exactly on the prolongated line connecting one of the orange lights with the red one.
