Geocache Description:

This multi-cache is ideal for the whole family as it involves a pleasant walk around the island, with some easy clue finding. Please print out the clues before trying this cache - this would be highly advisable. Do not rely on your smart phone only… PLEASE NOTE: The first clue has been compromised as the NT noticeboard information has been changed, so we have solved the clues for you.

Take time to enjoy the magical atmosphere of this fabulous island. Keep a close eye out for red squirrels, golden pheasants and deer. The peacocks will find you, particularly if you look as if you may have food. This multi cache is nearly three miles long and should take two to three hours. Bring a picnic as there are no food shops on the island and just soak up the Brownsea vibes.

At each of the five destinations we are asking you to solve clues to find the next destination.

PLEASE NOTE: To solve the final cache co-ordinate, you MUST collect clues from some of the destinations. Please read the clues carefully. Printing out the cache details would be helpful as many geocachers say that they didn't get all the details they needed and had to double back. Read the clues carefully. You have been warned!

Destination 1

Soon after disembarking the NT ferry, find the NT sign at N50 41.339 W001.57.448.To get to the next location, solve the following clues using what you find here. The NT sign has changed so we have 'solved' the co-ordinate for destination 2 for you.

Destination 4

Once you get to Destination 4, use what you find to solve the clue to work out the next co-ordinate:

For the final destination co-ordinate clues:

Destination 5

Once you get to Destination 5, use what you find to solve the remaining letter - T - for the final cache co-ordinate. You will also need the answers to V, W, X and Y which you will have found along the way.

T = The experimental camp of 20 boys held on Brownsea by the founder of the Scouts and Guides movement, Robert Baden Powell, was from which day to the 9th of August 1907?
