Esta cache é
dedicada a todos aqueles que já perderam algo que consideravam
precioso. No nosso caso foi uma aliança de casamento que para
sempre ficará submersa nestas águas profundas da Barragem de
Castelo de Bode.
This cache is dedicated to all of those
who lost something that was dear to them…their precious. In our
case it was our wedding ring that forever will be submerged in the
deep waters of the Castelo de Bode
dam.
A cache…
Nunca é fácil recuperar algo que nos é
precioso… nem será fácil recuperar esta cache!!! A cache está
escondida numa das pequenas ilhas formadas pelo lago artificial da
barragem de Castelo de Bode. A ilha em questão está perto de uma
pequena praia fluvial onde é possível ter acesso de carro
(estacionamento recomendado). O grau de dificuldade do terreno da
cache poderá variar consoante os
Invernos forem chuvosos ou não, podendo durante o Verão, haver uma
“língua de areia” com ligação a terra (dificuldade do terreno desce
para 3). Em todo o caso, a profundidade da travessia não é muita
(2-3 metros no Verão) e pode ser facilmente atravessada a nado
(10-15 metros entre margens) por nadadores com alguma experiência.
A ilha e a cache também podem ser
alcançadas através de barcos, canoas, colchões de ar, ou por
qualquer coisa que flutue!!!
Divirtam-se nas águas (tenham cuidado,
especialmente com as crianças!!!), praia e aproveitem a magnifica
vista deste lago…
A cache é de
tamanho regular e está dentro de um saco de plástico escuro. O
conteúdo inicial é:
- Logbook (lápis e
afia)
- Stashnote
- e muitos colares,
anéis, brincos…afinal foi um objecto precioso o que perdemos!!!

The cache…
It is never easy to recover something
that is dear to us…nor will it be easy to recover this cache!!! The
cache is hidden in one of the small islands created by the
artificial lake of the Castelo de Bode
dam. The island where the cache is, is
near a small lakeside beach where you can have access from the
recommended parking. The terrain difficulty can change if there is
a dry winter. In this case, there could be a small sandbank
connecting to mainland (in this case the terrain difficulty is
reduced to 3). However, the depth of the water in that cross is not
too much (2-3 meters during summer) and can easily be swum across
from mainland (10-15 meters) – good swimming abilities required!
The island and the cache can also be reached by boat, kayaks,
air-inflated beds, or by something that floats!!!
Have fun in the water (be careful and
especially with children!!!), beach and the magnificent scenic view
of this lake…
The cache is regular size and it is
inside a dark plastic bag. The initial content of the cache
is:
- Logbook (pencil and
sharpener)
- Stashnote
- and…plenty
of collars, rings and earrings…in the end it was something precious
that we lost!!!
