IMPORTANTE - A CACHE NÃO ESTÁ NAS COORDENADAS INDICADAS!
Esta multi-cache tem como objectivo dar a conhecer os monumentos e o “centro histórico” da minha vila, Arouca. As coordenadas dadas indicam o início do percurso que seguirá os moldes de um “Peddy-paper”, obrigando-vos a recolher várias informações a fim de obter a coordenada final onde se encontra o cache.
O percurso que terão de realizar é o seguinte:
1. As coordenadas levam-no ao Largo de Stª Mafalda, um local recentemente intervencionado (2012), com a reconstrução do antigo pórtico e consequente fecho da zona ao trânsito. Procure a entrada do Museu de Arte Sacra de Arouca (que podem aproveitar para visitar) e anote a inscrição acima da porta (constituída por quatro algarismos e uma letra)
2. Vão agora dirigir-se para a Avenida 25 de Abril, a principal avenida da vila, e observar, na sua melhor perspectiva, o monumento mais importante de Arouca: o Convento de Arouca. A ala oriental dessa extensa fachada alberga a Igreja do convento, onde está o túmulo da Rainha Stª Mafalda. Antes de entrar para observar a beleza da Igreja, existem duas filas de janela e, no topo, no prolongamento de alguns pilares da estrutura, existem umas “pontas de pedra talhada”. Anotem o número de “pontas de pedra”.
NOTA: Devem contar apenas as que se encontram na fila de baixo.
4. Frente à Igreja, e do outro lado da praça Brandão de Vasconcelos existe a Capela da Misericórdia. Na sua frente, logo por cima da porta existe uma inscrição em latim talhada na pedra: “DEVOTI FECERE AN ????” e uma data. Tomem nota da data.
5. Agora devem voltar a subir a Avenida 25 de Abril. Ao cimo, do lado direito surge uma pequena capela: a capela de Stº António. Devem observar de frente a capela para ver a janela colocada na fachada, por cima da porta. Devem contar o número de vidros que compõem a janela e anotar.
6. Logo ao lado, fica a câmara municipal de Arouca. Na pequena escadaria à sua frente, existe um fontanário com outra data. Devem igualmente anotá-la.
7. Do lado oposto à capela, situa-se a Rua Dr. Teixeira de Brito. Devem percorrê-la até chegar à rua Dr. Figueiredo Sobrinho. Subindo por essa última rua, vão encontrar, do lado esquerdo, uma casa com um brasão de pedra. Recomendo uma observação atenta dos círculos que estão numa das suas partes. Anotem o número de círculos.
Agora, já têm reunidos os elementos necessários para decifrar o enigma da localização final do cache. Deverão efetuar as seguintes contas para as coordenadas finais.
A – Data do Mosteiro (some todos os números até obter um valor de dois algarismos)
B – Número de “pontas de pedra” no topo do convento (valor de dois algarismos também)
C – Data na capela da misericórdia (some todos os números até obter um valor de dois algarismos)
D – Número de vidros na janela da capela de Stº António (valor de um algarismo)
E – Data no fontanário da câmara(some todos os números até obter um valor de dois algarismos)
F – Número de círculos do brasão (valor de um algarismo)
A cache final está nestas coordenadas:

IMPORTANT - THE CACHE IS NOT IN THE INDICATED COORDINATES!
The objective of this multi-cache is to let you know the monuments and the “historical center” of my town, Arouca. The given coordinates indicate the beginning of the trail that will be similar to a “Peddy-paper”, compelling you to collect some information in order to get the final coordinate where you will find the cache.
Here is the trail you will have to follow:
1. The coordinates take you to the Plaza of Stª Mafalda, search for the entrance of the museum and find the date above do main door.
2.Go to Avenue 25 of April, the main avenue of the town, and observe the most important monument of Arouca: the Convent of Arouca. The eastern section of this extensive façade lodges the Church of the convent, where the tomb of Queen Stª Mafalda is. Before entering to admire the beauty of the Church, observe the two rows of windows that exist and, at the top, the prolongation of some pillars where you can see some “points of sculpted rock”. Write down the number of these “rock points”. NOTE: You must only count the ones that are in the lower row.
3. In front of the Church, in the square “Brandão de Vasconcelos” there is the Chapel of the Misericordia. In its front, over the door you have a registration in Latin: “DEVOTI FECERE AN” and one date. Take note of the date.
4. Now go up Avenue 25 of April. At the top of the avenue, on your right, you will see a small chapel: the chapel of Stº António. You must observe the front of the chapel to see the window placed in the façade, over the door. Count the number of glasses that composes the window and write it down.
5. Near the chapel, you can see the city council of Arouca. In the small staircase in its front there is a fountain with another date. You must also write it down.
6. In the opposite side of the chapel, you will find Dr Teixeira de Brito Street.You must go along the street until you arrive at Dr. Figueiredo Sobrinho Street. Going up this last street, you will find, on the left side, a house with a heraldic bearing. You have to observe the heraldic bearing and count the circles that are in one of its parts. Write down the number of circles.
Now you have already congregated the necessary elements to decipher the enigma of the final localization of the cache. Each number corresponds to a letter in the following list. All you have to do is decipher the final coordinates.
A – Date above the entrance of Mosteiro (add all the numbers to get a two numbers result)
B – Number of “points of rock” in the top of convent (a two numbers result)
C – Date in the chapel of Misericordia(add all the numbers to get a two numbers result)
D – Number of glasses in the window of the chapel of Stº António
E – Date in the fontain of city council (add all the numbers to get a two numbers result)
F – Number of circles of heraldic bearing
The final cache is in these coordinates:
