da Barca, junto à Serra Amarela, a uma altitude média de 700 m. A
paisagem é lindíssima onde a urze e o tojo abundam... A cache
contém chaves antigas que gostariam de passear!!!
This cache is
located in the village of Azias (Santa Maria), Ponte da
Barca, near the Yellow Mountain, at a medium height of 700 m.
The landscape is quiet beautiful where heather and furze are
everywhere… The final cache contains old keys that are
wishing to travel.

freguesia é possuidora de uma exuberante paisagem montanhosa,
devido à sua localização serrana, e de terras muito produtivas nos
vales formados por lindos cursos de água. Dista 12 km de

RESENHA
HISTÓRICA: Em 1220, nas Inquirições de D. Afonso
II, há já referência a "Sancta Maria da Sancta Asia", que
aparece de novo citada nas Inquirições de D. Afonso III, de
1258, "In collatione Sancte Marie de Sancta
Asia".
Em
1290, nas Inquirições de D. Dinis, aparece mencionada como paróquia
e freguesia de "Sancta Asya".
No
catálogo das igrejas pertencentes à Terra de Nóbrega, organizado em
1320, Azias foi taxada em 30 libras.
Pertenceu ao concelho de Aboim da Nóbrega, até à
extinção deste, por decreto de 31 de Dezembro de 1853, tendo
passado, desde então, a fazer parte do concelho de Ponte da
Barca.
No
registo da cobrança das "colheitas" dos benefícios eclesiásticos do
arcebispado de Braga, na parte respeitante à Terra de Nóbrega,
feita entre 1489 e 1493, D. Jorge da Costa apurou que esta igreja
rendia, em dinheiro com morturas, 314 réis e de dízimas de searas
78 réis.
Em
1528, o Livro dos Benefícios e Comendas, atribui-lhe um rendimento
de 30 mil réis.
Some historical facts: In
1220, on D. Afonso II Inquiries’, there is already a
reference to “Sancta Maria da Sancta Ásia”. Appearing again
on D. Afonso III Inquiries’, in 1258, “In collatione Sancta
Maria de Sancta Ásia”.
In 1290, on
D. Dinis Inquiries’, it is mentioned as parish and village of
“Sancta Asya”.
In the
catalogue of churches belonging to the Land of Nóbrega in
1320, Azias paid 30 pounds of
taxes.
It
belonged to the municipality of Aboim da Nóbrega until its
extinction by decree on 31st December of
1853. Since then it belongs to Ponte da Barca
municipality.
On
the record of collection of “harvests” the ecclesiastic benefits of
Braga’s Archbishopric, in what concerns the Land of Nóbrega,
between 1489 and 1493, D. Jorge da Costa concluded that this church
paid, in money with morturas, 314 réis and of harvest-fields tithe 78
réis.
In
1528, the Book of Beneficts and Commends mentions an income of 30
thousand
